Snorkling off the beaches of Tortola and Antigua

In September we will be stopping at these ports and would like to snorkle off the beaches if possible as we are new to snorkling. Also, are there any beach shops for equipment (fins and vests) and any lockers for your personal items?

You take a cab (right at the pier) for a negotiated fee there and back to Brewers Bay. VERY steep and winding roads. Even if the water is rough, the beach will be almost empty and you will think you were in heaven. It's also a plus to have a beach bar and beach chairs also.
