internetgrandma Posted August 23, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2007 GCT told me that the current in the bath was OK for an elec. razor but was not enough for a curling iron. A blow dryer not needed. Ladies, please set me know if you found this to be true
june1 Posted August 24, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2007 I was able to borrow a power adaptor from the boat ofice on the MS Chardonnay. There was a hair dryer in the bathroom.
lobsterlover Posted August 24, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 24, 2007 Hi Internet Grandma, You will need a converter and adaptor to use your curling iron, but as June states the office usually has a few to loan. I just recently purchased a dual voltage curling iron which doesn't require the converter, just the adaptor prongs. They are very reasonably priced at Target. The ships provide a dryer. L.L. CPT Trips Posted August 24, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 24, 2007 On the Concerto Aug 8 to 23 cruise, our "neighbor reported that the 110v in the bathroom did not work. There were a few voltage convertors avialable, but only for use and not the duration of the cruise.
lobsterlover Posted August 25, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 25, 2007 Hi CPT Trips, Curious to know if Katerina was still the matre 'd on your trip. She is a great asset to GCT, a very hard worker and remembers everyone by name after one day. What was your itinerary? L. L.
CPT Trips Posted August 25, 2007 #6 Share Posted August 25, 2007 Vlado was the maitre'd - he too remembered names quite well. We went Wien to Amsterdam - Danube, Main-Danube Canal, Main, Rhein and the Rhein-Amsterdam Canal. Check out Jersey Gem's post for more info.
