Do I need bug spray for Horseshoe bay beach? I got eaten alive by sand flies in Antigua so I want to be prepared this time.

Can't say we were ever bothered by flies or any other bug anywhere in Bermuda. Insects are attracted to some people more than others for various reasons. I know what it's like to be eaten by those nasty flies and it's not nice. You could always take a small bottle of insect repellent just as insurance.

i don't know any people who bite insects! you'll be okay at the beach here. we don't have sand flies here. depending on where you are at night, you might need a little protection. we don't have a real mosquito problem here - it's a punishable offence to have standing water on your property. the best defence against the small mosquito threat is avon skin so soft. works better than "proper" repellants without the nasty smell.
