Hotels used when sailing from Ft Lauderdale

Does anyone know which hotels are used by RCI for international passengers flying into Miami who have a pre-cruise overnight hotel stay. I'm sure we will be told nearer the time but would like some idea. I'm hoping it is in Fort Lauderdale and not near the airport.

I don't think they specify a difference between international and domestic travelers but I could be wrong. We stayed at the Renaissance in 2005 and are going to stay there again in February. It was clean, had a nice pool area and you can walk down to the intercoastal and catch the water taxi pretty easily.

I second the Marriott Renaissance. It is VERY close to the port and it is a very nice hotel! I also love the Sheraton Yankee Clipper. It is very close also and on the beach.

We also stayed at the Renaissance on SE 17th Street. It was a great place to stay where you could see the ships sailing in & out of the port.

 

We stayed a couple of nights pre-cruise and walked down & caught the water taxi a few times. The water taxi drivers were very good at talking about things along the way that might be of interest.
