San Juan at Night

Recommended Posts

Hubby and I were thinking about taking the April Royal Caribbean Eastern cruise which includes a stop in San Juan from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

We're concerned about what to do there at night/safety, etc.

Other two ports are morning to late afternoon/early evening.

Any comments, suggestions, recommendations, etc.?

Hi,

You should definitely head into Old San Juan. The main areas of the city are very safe and there are always Police around.

Take a taxi to El Morro (fort) or

Stroll along the Paseo la Princesa promenade and through the San Juan Gate - you will then be in the main area of the city. Then just wander around. Plenty of shops, bars, restaurants to chill out in.

There is a post on my blog with a video of Paseo la Princesa

Hope you enjoy your brief trip here
