pghsteeler1 Posted September 4, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 4, 2007 Has anyone ever hike the Gros Piton Trail? What is the best way to go about doing this? We are going to have 9 hours on the island, so I imagine that would be enough time to do this from what I've read. Any info would be helpful. Thanks. KEITJE Posted September 4, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 4, 2007 i think this hike requires to much time for it to be done while a cruise ship is in port.
cinnam0n Posted September 5, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 5, 2007 Take into account, also, that the Pitons are about 1 - 1 1/2 hours each way from the cruise port.
pghsteeler1 Posted September 5, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted September 5, 2007 I have read on this site about outher cruisers who have accomplished this within a similar timeframe. In fact RCCL offers this as an excursion that states it lasts 7 hours. I'm cruising NCL and they do not offer this, therefore I will have to plan on my own. I was just wondering if anyone who has done this can me any suggestions. We are determined to do this on our cruise. Thanks.
weloverunning Posted September 5, 2007 #5 Share Posted September 5, 2007 PGHSteeler: I bumped the Gros Piton cancelled thread up to the top for you to read. Since we are going in November, we'll be able to let you know how everything worked out before your cruise. We're still determined to make it happen.:D
