Cab vs. shuttle fare (Monarch)

It's about 14 miles to LGB from the pier. I know that going from the airport to the pier there is a flat rate of about $34 - I imagine that the return fare would be comparable. I have seen both Prime Time and Super Shuttle vans at the airport, but I don't know the price. I'm sure could find out from their websites.

If you have an early flight, make sure the shuttle will give you a non-stop trip and not hit the hotel circuit or residences before going to the airport - that can cost you a lot of time.

I stand corrected Critterchick.. I used to drop my friend off at Long Beach airport after our cruises, and it seemed like such a quick ride... anyway, call the shuttle companies and ask.

Special - I always suggest looking at the major car rental sites. Back when I lived in LA and was visiting Fort Lauderdale every two weeks, I would often land in Miami, and rent a car and then return it to Fort Lauderdale. The major companies did not charge me a drop off fee or "one way fee"... so if you pick up a car in Miami, you could drive yourself to FLL for a fairly reasonably rate. Check it out.
