Caveat emptor! Several hotels (the article mentions the Best Western Tuscan and the Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf among others) have outsourced their concierge desks to ... tour bus companies! The staff may or may not be knowledgeable, but do have instructions to steer clients to their employers' tours.
