Tours Tauranga, NZ

Has anyone had experience with the Indigenous Trails Tours for Tauranga and Rotorua? Their Web site and unique tours sound very interesting. So would like some first hand reviews. Thanks

How did you hear about them? I wrote and asked for more info and a price but have not heard back.

Found them on a link posted on our Roll Call. I got a response within a day or two asking for specific activities in which we were interested. I responded today asking for times/price/pick-up, etc. Their Web site list 4 different cruise excursions including one that goes to Rotorua. Since we've been there, we want to stay in local area and see some 'off the beaten track' things. But I can't find any reviews, that's why I started this thread.

Maybe I did not find the same one you did. Would you mind sharing the web site? Thanks for the help. This is our first time in the area so would like to see more of the area, especially the Maori cultural places.

had a bit of a chat with Richard from itrails and I am now sure you are going to have some good old Maori hopitality.

Thanks so much, Scott. I've had a wonderful, ongoing email 'conversation' with Des Harris in Tauranga. He's a delight to work with and is even teaching me some Maori phrases. I'm a student of the Maori culture...had several experiences on previous trips to NZ including being welcomed as a visitor at a Powhiri. So...I was particularly interested in having a 'real' experience and not just the masses at the larger venues (although I loved that as our first experience some 12 years ago).
