Return Flight from Venice

[Toronto Maple Leaf Fan]

Our family of 5 will be returning back to Canada next August out of the Marco Polo Airport in Venice. Our ship docks at 7AM. How long does it take to get from the ship pier to the airport?

What is the earliest flight out that you would recommend. There is a flight back to the U.S. via Frankfurt that leaves at 11:00. What do you think our chances are?

We ran into that exact same problem so we solved it by staying an extra night! Not the best solution but it was certainly easier on the nerves.

You should be ok as long as you disembark as early as possible. My guess is the cruise line will probably have people booked on that 11am flight, even though they will tell you don't book before 12pm. Airport isn't too far from port (not like Rome). But if these things make you nervous, book something later just in case there are traffic issues. Rescheduling 5 people in August would not be pretty.
