Is November a good time to cruise to Australia and New Zealand?

 

Will the weather be cold and rainy??

the 1st of december is our first day of summer (our seasons are reverse of yours)It wont be cold. It is a good time to travel before it gets too hot.

 

with regards to rain who can tell, we have just had our wettest winter for a long time, with climate change any thing seems possible.

November is lovely (in Sydney anyway).;) Its not cold, maybe a little cool in the evening - but probably nothing that a light jacket wouldn't fix. The days are warm to hot.

 

We did a land tour of the South Island of NZ in November 2002 and the weather varied. For example. Milford Sound was cold and rainy (which I think may be the case all year round). Mt Cook was warm - 26degC. Most other places were cool to mild. Christchurch was a little cool. The North Island is much warmer. The further north you go the warmer it is.

Kia ora from Rotorua, a centre of Maori culture, the lakes district and thermal wonderland of the north Island. Ie. a 'must see'.

November will be the equivalent of May in the northern hemispere, While it won't be cold in NZ it is still early in the season. Generally after Christmas is the best time in NZ

I think the best time to visit Nz in my experience is late febuary and march. the weather tends to be very settled and hot. I have been to NZ in November and experienced 4 seasons in one day!
