Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!! Fantasia packages were in the original spreadsheet I made when researching the various wedding coordinators' packages in St Thomas. We ended up deciding to marry on St John (another USVI that is a short 20-minute ferry ride from St Thomas) so we did not use any of the St Thomas wedding coordinators we had researched.

Just remember in your researching that there are several coordinators in the area, but a limited number of vendors (photographers, chefs, videographers, florists, etc). Many times, the coordinators will use the same vendors due to the supply... but the coordinator prices may vary greatly. That may be some of the questions you might ask when interviewing coordinators. Who do they use for various services... and then research their websites.

Here are some of the vendors we used:

Photographer: http://www.virginislandsphoto.com/

Videographer: http://www.youmaynow.com/

Flowers (bouquet, on cake, etc): http://www.eastendflowershop.net/[/url]

Cake: http://www.stjohnchef.com/

Reception Catamaran (chartered): http://www.adventurervi.com/

Minister: Rev. Emmanuel Jaggernauth (Minister of Cruz Bay Baptist Church)

Coordinator: http://www.usviwedding.com/

Our Pictures: http://www.cmgoddard.com/pages/3/index.htm

Prices we paid for everything are in a review that is linked in my signature.

For the chef, we absolutely loved our wedding cake... So much so that we have contracted another smaller wedding cake for just the two of us for our return this November while on a cruise. We will return to our wedding beach to actually enjoy the cake... and not have to share it with anyone else. :D

If marrying on St Thomas or St John, you use the courthouse in Charlotte Amalie - right in the middle of downtown. There are many posts here on CC about St Thomas and St John weddings, as well as posts regarding various coordinators. The 'search this forum' function can be helpful as the number of posts increase - lots of info. USVI is definitely a great place to get married!!!:)

Here is some info I found - now it's all coming back to me now. If using the general packages Fantasia offers, you are at the Best Western hotel's beach. There are some websites linked below.

Coordinator: Debra N. Williams

Website with more reviews on the property

One review specifically about Fantasia:

Our son was married on St. Thomas this March, and we booked our entire wedding party at the Carib Beach Resort. Having a total of 21 rooms, with over 60 people, was quite a task. The hotel performed wonderfully, not one single complaint from anyone in our group, even my mother-in-law was happy. The kids were on a budget, so we helped find the hotel. The wedding was great, Fantasia Wedding services did a great job. The reception was perfect with some of the best food we had ever had. Although expensive, it was well worth it.

We have been to St. Thomas twice before, several years ago, and had stayed at a large hotel. We will be staying at Carib Beach Resort from now on. Everything about the hotel was relaxing and charming. We all had a really great time there

And of course the Fantasia website that you've probably seen.

We basically asked for tropical flowers and told our coordinator that the maid of honor would be wearing an off-red dress. I bought a silk bouquet for her that matched her dress, so we were able to have fresh flowers for my bouquet, Curt's bouten... (however you spell it) as well as matching flowers for the cake (cake flowers were $40). I'm sure our bouquets didn't match (with her's being pre-bought silk) but nobody noticed or cared. :)

Also, we used Stacy Mulcare of "Ceremonies of St John" (we didn't use Cheryl). I believe Stacy mostly does weddings on St John since that's where she lives. Her husband is a chef.

My guess would be is that there are not too many florists on St Thomas (under a dozen) - so Cheryl might even use the same florist that Stacy does. Here is a link to the florist we used: http://www.eastendflowershop.net/

:)
