cruzbug Posted September 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2007 We (2 people) are booked on Sept 23 Norwegian Dawn to Canada/New England. We depart on a Sunday and it appears that there are a lot of other ships departing at the same time. Our flight arrives LGA around 10:15. What is the best way to get to the ship, NCL Transfer, Limo, or taxi. Your advice will be greatly appreciated.
cafe rose Posted September 13, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 13, 2007 any of those is just fine. LGA is not far from NYC. I would however opt for the transfer since I believe that the cruise line will check your luggage right in.
smeyer418 Posted September 14, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 14, 2007 A taxi costs about $35.00 per cab not per person. It will get you to the pier on about 30-45 minutes. A car service should be about the same with no extra charge for waiting. Try http://www.carmellimo.com a standard sedan is fine for two with luggage. The problem with the cruise line bus is waiting for everyone to get aboard from various flights, but they will handle the luggage(just make sure it gets on the bus)... cruzbug Posted September 15, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted September 15, 2007 Thanks for the info. I checked carmellimo out on the internet..think that is the way we will go. I figure it will be about half the price of NCL transfer and better than a taxi with the meter running. The price for carmellimo was 28.00 plus tolls and tip.:)
