Secrets on the Grand??

I don't know whether you have sailed on this class of ship before, but DH and I have been on the CB, and we are booked on the Grand in April '08. We found that Skywalker's was a quiet place to enjoy the horizon/wake during the day. Very few people wandered in that direction. We are not "club" people, so we never went at night.

The only concern there would be sea sickness. DH has some sensitivity to the motion of the ocean, and we certainly could feel the movement when we were that high up. Ginger works wonders, and Sea Bands help, too. He has to start out "low and slow" by staying on the lower decks until he gets acclimated. Even with the queasiness, he is still looking forward to getting on the sea again!

We really loved the "hidden" pool inside the spa. It is open to the public but not many realize this. You can just walk in through the spa, or you can access it from the upper deck by climbing down the stairs. It also has the swim against current machine, and steam rooms and saunas next to it. For the first few days of the cruise, until it is "discovered" it makes a nice little private spot.

Have a GREAT cruise!
