Limo pick-up NYC after cruise

Where's the best place for a Limo pick up in NYC after the cruise? We usually drive and park ourselves with no problems, but next week we will be using a Limo.

 

We used one several years ago and it was a disaster because the Limo could not get any where near the pier to pick us up after getting all the bags down the elevator to the lower level (3 couples). Then we had to 'schlep' all the luggage many blocks to get to him.

 

Any suggestions? Thanks.
