Kid Friendly Excursions

We will be in Cozumel in Nov and would like to know if any one has suggestions for kid friendly excursions. The ages are 7,8, 10, 10, and 13. DH doesn't want to spend the entire day at the beach and not really interested in making a long trip to the ruins with the kids. Are there any closer ruins or a beach/something else package?
