Tabyana Beach Question

Can you find your own transportation to Tabyana Beach, or do you have to book it through the cruiseline? I only saw it offered through the cruiseline.

I'm also looking for information on this - or on ANY beach you can just have a taxi take you to. We're looking to just spend a few hours at the beach, and we don't want to spend a fortune to do it.

I believe that Tabayana is only available through cruise line excursions. However, you can catch a cab to West Bay Beach, which is where Tabayana is located. From aerial photos I've seen (which you can find here by doing a search on Tabayana), it looks like Tabayana is only a small section of a large beach. You'll get the same food, drinks and snorkeling, but with the flexibility to roam around or leave whenever you want.
