Ann-Marie75 Posted May 29, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2004 I have taken a few cruises in the past during the summer. On the days that we were at sea, I would enjoy sitting by the pool. I never realized that it might be too cool for that. (Stupid me!) What does one usually do during the day? What activites does the ship have? Budget Queen Posted May 29, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 29, 2004 Take a good pair of wide angle binoculars with you and plan on being out on deck. Much more to see during sailing than in the Caribbean. There will also be some usual ship activities.
Genessa Posted May 29, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2004 the nice thing about the Coral is the indoor pool, so if you want to sit by the pool, you can Princess also has guest lecturers on board, we went to two. There is a naturalist on sea days, describing some of the things you are seeing, might be seeing. Aside from that, there is also Bingo, usually a group dancing lesson in the afternoons, trivia games. As BQ said, I spent a lot of time watching the sea. The otters were my favorites, playing in the water.
Folladori4 Posted May 30, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 30, 2004 Just returned from a b2b on the Coral and there was not time to be bored. It was awsome and would love to go again. Be sure you have good binoculars for everyone in your group since you will spend a lot of time looking as the mountains and wildlife. You will never tire of looking. Also there is an indoor pool and hot tubs, some guests were using the outdoor pool too. There are two shows every night, plus the lounges, casinos and first run movies. You can play bingo, listen to the naturalest Which I highly recommend, There are murder mystries, a library, shops, ping pong, basketball, the spa, gym, exercise programs and this is just a few of the things offered. Your problem will be deciding what to do, and just watching the shore in Alaska is a full time activity. Best cruise we ever took!
