Sea between NZ and Australia

Planning a cruise in 2008 to Australia/NZ and would appreciate any information of how rough the seas are traveling between these countries. My wife is prone to seasickness and wonder if this part of the cruise will ruin the trip. Thanks.

Can be good or really really bad. Was on Sapphire Princess last April from Sydney to New Zealand and it was flat! I think it pays to be prepared in case of rough seas.

We did this cruise back in '02 and it was rough going over to Tasmania and then it smoothed out as we approach Melbourne.

 

Take medication along as no one can predict what the seas will do this far in advance.

I think we were on the cruise after yours, NZ back to sydney and the weather between The fiords and melbourne was pretty bad. so bad we missed tassie. we didnt get sick though (took our tablets) but many people were. I guess it is the luck of the draw, make sure your dear wife has her tablets.
