hair raising roads?

are they real narrow with no guard rails with a minimum 200 foot drop (much like dominica!!)? i got so scared i refused to go up beyond the second stop. my poor embarrassed dh. is that what these roads are like? if so, is there a water taxi to go around? thanks, lauri

While the roads on Tortola are often depicted as very narrow and winding, they are not really dangerous. These taxi drivers use the roads on a daily basis and if they were that dangerous there wouldn't be any body left to drive on them.
