Thanks, was hoping for an actual Cigar bar like the one on the Legend or the Glory.

From what I remember of the Legend they didn't have an actual enclosed bar....it was a lounge that they used for a cigar bar. Maquires is an enclosed bar. It's red and black. Very nice. Big screens all over the place except they never had any decent sports events playing on there because I think they only had the ESPN Spanish channel.

Craig, the Gotham lounge doesn't allow smoking anymore. Now the cigar bar is in Maquire's. We also thought so cause on the Legend it was in that same area but when we were on the Miracle in June it was in Maquires.

That's where it was for our sailing.......you'd think these cruise sites would be a bit faster with site updates. If my site had something I knew was wrong, I'd update ASAP.

Who knows.....I'll see how they are doing it in a month......not that it matters (I don't smoke)

Is this right off the casino? If so it is exactly the same sports bar as on the Legend. DH was not aware that you could not smoke cigars in the casino and had to finish in the sports bar.

Yes it's right next to the casino. The Legend and the Miracle are sister ships.

Sandi:

But I don't remember much about the fitness room. And I'm afraid to ask "Do the treadmills have TV's on each treadmill or do they have what amount of TV's surrounding them" because not many people visit the fitness room. We are going Dec. 9th and counting down. Thanks for all the info and keep it moving.

Hey, I actually know this one! A Carnival rep answered a few questions for me over the phone, and this was one of them. The treadmills (and other cardio equipment) do not have their own televisions. There are televisions in the room, though.

We are also on the 12/9 sailing. Have you joined our roll call? I don't remember seeing your name in there. We've got a few people going and I think we scheduled a meet and greet onboard. Stop by the roll call thread if you haven't already. :D

Well thanks alot Allison! It's great someone else has the same interest with fitness center. I don't see many of the same people on the track or in the fitness room throughout the cruise but there are some crazy fitness freaks out there like me. I have'nt checked out the roll call for the Miracle 12-9-07 yet but will.:)

Hi folks,

I don't usually start threads unless I'm asking questions. :p Some of you know that I have asked A LOT of questions in the past....LOL!!! Mr. Pete do you hear me? hahahahah :D:D Anyway, I thought it would be fun to start a thread about the Miracle. There are others about the Destiny and the Triumph and other ships in the Carnival fleet.

I absolutely fell in love with the Miracle. Maybe because it was my first "long" cruise? I don't know, but that ship and the crew really left a special place in my heart. The service was outstanding. The food was great. My husband and I had such a wonderful time. I have been on several vacations to the Caribbean, Europe, many states in the US, Mexico, Canada and in my opinion this cruise was the best vacation I have ever taken.

Anyone else want to talk about the wonderful Miracle? Craig (Chitowncruiserss), Ann (Mprucha) and others? I know you are out there. :D Any future Miracle cruisers we would love to hear from you also.

I can't believe how many people absolutely love the Miracle! We go back and look at the pictures from that cruise all the time and I can't wait to be back on her in May 2008! This time it'll just be me and Michael and we're already talking about it! If any of you haven't seen my website on the miracle, check it out! Over 1000 pictures and everything!

Hi again!

Thanks, glad to be here! I can't believe it took me that long to see it! We've been crazy here and I havn't been online as much cause we're buying a new house but now that I'm here, I'm thrilled! I too have thought about the fact that the Miracle needed it's own page. We're doing the Miracle again in May 08, then the Freedom in Nov 08 but we're already thinking of a back to back in 09 on the Miracle with 2 different itineraries! We keep thinking of taking another ship but then keep getting drawn back to the Miracle so what the heck!

This will be my first cruise on the Miracle (Feb 08). I have only sailed once before with Carnival (Fascination for Graduation cruise with neices). I was drawn to this ship by her size and beauty, as well as the itinerary. My husband and I usually sail with Princess, but I was impressed with Carnival and wanted to try another ship...we have done the mega ships and are looking forward to a return to a smaller sleeker vessel. We are lounge lizards by nature, preferring to work our way down the martini menu over the course of a week, simply enjoying the beauty and elegance of the ship. Does the Miracle have such lounges/bars? It is so much fun to people watch and to strike up conversations with folks from around the world, I cant wait! Thanks for any input!:D

Hi,

the Miracle has several lounges where you can get Martinis and have wonderful conversations. As a matter of fact one evening they even have a Martini party in the Atrium Lobby. Each bar/lounge has different type of music also. There are jazz trios and classical trios and other types of bands and a piano bar also. :D

Thank you so much for the pictures. I wish I had the technical know how, your website is fantastic and so informative. I am going on my first cruise ever on the Miracle Jan. 2, 08 and I read these threads almost everyday. The anticipation is killing me. All this information just makes me more anxious. Thank you for sharing

Me, too! I'm always anxiously looking forward to my next cruise, but since discovering these boards, I've become completely and totally obsessed!

Those were great pics. I even asked my daughter how many photos we'd be able to take between our 2 digital cameras. She said about 400. I exclaimed, "that's not going to be enough!!!" She looked at me like I was totally insane.

I guess I am! :D

Another Miracle question (and if it's been addressed in the prior pages, forgive me - I did read through the entire thread)...

I know there's a link to the menu. Is there a link to the wine list? I don't think the wine list that's on Carnival's site actually reflects the wines available at dinner. Or am I wrong?

I've been searching for a particular Chardonnay ever since we had it on the Jubilee on our first cruise. It's an Australian - Yarra Ridge. Very reasonably priced but very nice.

They have a website, but I haven't been able to find this wine anywhere online (other than for shipment within Australia).

Here's a wine list that I found. doesn't look like they carry the one you are looking for though.

Looks like wine-by-the-glass prices have gone up, too! Not a single Aussie white on the list. :(

I'm hoping the by-the-bottle selection is a little more extensive.

I'll probably buy a bottle at dinner the first night and work my way through that, but I often also have a glass before and after dinner, too. I may just have to find something that provides a little more "bang for the buck!"

Hi all,

I'm glad that you've liked the website! That's exactly why we made it! And you guys leaving soon on the Miracle are going to have the best time!

Wyntersong, they had really great blue martinis in most of the bars! By the way, for those of you that saw the review on today's boards from the guy who got off her today, take parts of it with a grain of salt. The food is actually much, much better than they stated. I can't wait to hear about about your trips as you get back!!

We have an aft wraparound balcony for our May trip on the Miracle and we are so excited about it!

We are going to be sailing on the Miracle May 1/08 from New York and we are so excited! We were scheduled to be on a cruise in May of this year aboard the Miracle ,but due to a medical emergency with my husband, we had to abandon ship before it even left the pier. So needless to say the boat sailed without us. Carnival was so amazing they gave us a credit to use within 18 months . So we are to try again next yr.:)

Thanks Sandi for telling me about this board. There is a lot of info here.

We will be sailing 5/17/08 celebrating our 20th anniversary. DH surprised me with CC confirmation yesterday at dinner. We have an aft cabin on the upper deck. First time for a balcony. Last year we sailed on the Destiny out of San Juan and went to the Barcardi Factory. Have been to St Thomas a few times and loved the views while sipping on the famous Bushwacker (sp) . Tried to make it at home did not taste the same. I think it was the views that were missing...Never been to Tortola.... Can't wait to go and I am already mentally packing.....
