psygist Posted September 22, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2007 We're planning a pre-cruise stay at a B&B in the Cotswolds. Anyone have a recommended town to stay in that would be central to visiting many of the Cotswold villages, as well as Bath and Stratford on Avon. Any recommended B&B? Much thanks for any opinions. Years ago I was in the Cotswolds and stayed in Cheltenham at a lovely hotel across from the park into the village. I am sure it has all changed now,but I really enjoyed staying in the town and then visiting the smaller towns over a 4 day period.Visited quite a few of the local pubs and even closed a few down...people were so nice and the trip very enjoyable. Can't help with a B&B though. murphysmum Posted September 23, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2007 I love staying in Woodstock at the Bear, visiting Blenheim Palace and then wandering the grounds after hours. It's a lovely way to start a week in the Cotswolds and very convenient. murphysmum;)

My choice would definitely be Bourton on the Water. Check out: http://www.bourtoninfo.com/ Also try http://www.cotswold.gov.uk/nqcontent.cfm?a_id=256&tt=cotswold where you can get a freebie e-book and some video dloads too.
