Hi Kristi~

We recently did this cruise and the trip was absolutely fantastic! You will find a lot of information on the website regarding the Hawaiian Islands.

Also if you haven't already done so, I would suggest that you get a copy of the Revealed books for each island especially since you will have a rental car. They contain invaluable insight, information and very good maps. We relied on them heavily.

Personally, I would consider staying at VNP for the entire time in Hilo making sure you do the Chain Of Craters Road. It really is spectacular.

On Maui, we drove the western portion. There are so many amazing beaches and sights there. You can hike down to the Olivine pools and Nakalele blowhole - the area is really special.

On Kauai, if your can, I would definitely schedule a helicoper ride for Friday. You will rarely see anything more beautiful than Kauai from the air.

Whatever you decide, it will be an incredible trip!

Never been yet but from my research looks like you planned the days well. We have the same things planned

Hilo: VNP and IF there's time we will hit Richardson's beach on the return to the ship, I'm assuming that's what you have planned too.

We also have the same plan for Kona, POR, snorkle at the bay next to it and then a beach.

Your free day # 2 in Kauai, have you thought about a ship tour? That's what we decided to do as the time is so short there.

I'm looking forward to see what others that have been there think of your itinerary as it's close to ours.

Have fun!

Sheel03 -

I hope to get the Reveal Books this week. I just to get so many!

Judyf-

Please let me know how things work for you since you're going first! :D

Yes the Richardson beach will only be if we have time. We're not huge into sitting on the beach so even a 1/2 to see black sand would be ok. I'll have to look into what they offer for day 2 in Kauai....

We're doing the tubing the ditch. I think there might be air tours too, our group just didn't want to do that.

I will be sure to post a review when I return. I always do as they help me so much in my planning I like to return a good deed.
