If the "Fish House" restaurant and/or "Joe Fortes" are in there, they are first-rate venues for great meals. Also, the Sunday Brunch at the Westin Bayshore is awesome. Mondo Gelato (on Denman) is a BAD place for a diet!

A great seafood restaurant that is in the book is "The Cannery" on commissioner Street. You will need to take a cab but this restaurant is right on the docks and overlooks the busy harbour. Often when I eat there I spot seals & otters playing in the water. The food is great as well as the service.
