Hyatt Regency Pier 66 Hotel ???

Have a post cruise stay at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 Hotel. Read mixed reviews on this hotel. Anyone recently stay there or knows someone who has?

I have also read mixed reviews about this hotel on trip advisor. On these boards I have read only really good reviews. A co-worker of a friend swears by this hotel. I am staying there in November so I can't answer yet from experience. If Bequia or LindaNick come on, they will rave about this hotel.

IIRC they were renovating the whole place....so maybe that is why some of the reviews are mixed.....

We stayed there last year and it was great. We booked through Priceline but ended up with a great corner room (can't remember the floor, but it was fairly high up) that had a big balcony. I wanted to take the bed and linens home. I did send them an email before we went requesting a room with a balcony.

The pool is huge; we didn't swim but it looked so inviting.

There isn't much within walking distance, and the restaurants are expensive. If we stayed again I would probably grab a cab and go to another restaurant for dinner.

I would definitely stay there again!

just got back last night from the hyatt pier 66. even though they're renovating, was very comfortable. had the pool 2nd. floor room with balcony. had a newly done room, bedding was luxurious & shower the best. you'll be very comfortable there. sun trolley in the front is 50 cents and water taxi is at the marina in the rear. i think it's $11 pp. and u get on & off all day. check out their website so u can see their rooms. hyatt regency pier66.com
