ekerr19 Posted August 29, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 29, 2004 On a seven-night itinerary (Mexico) on a more traditional line (HAL), which of the two formal nights feels dressier? We've always found the 2nd formal night to be the more formal... the dining room linens are wonderful - it seems everyone makes an effort on the 2nd formal night. :)
Vicar Posted August 29, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2004 Ya know its funny but I have noticed that the same dark suit I wear on both formal nights "feels" dressier on the second formal night. So you may have something there *LOL* :) :) :)

Are those the things off to the right side? They must be kidding???? I had one... :(
Vicar Posted August 29, 2004 #5 Share Posted August 29, 2004 I have gotten that too a few times so I limit my smiles to three and that seems to work well *LOL* This is censorship in its truest form, they are limiting smiles *LOL*
Krazy Kruizers Posted August 29, 2004 #6 Share Posted August 29, 2004 I think more people dress up for the first formal night knowing that they will be having their picture taken with the captain as they go into the show room for the Captain's Welcome Party. chefajax Posted August 29, 2004 #7 Share Posted August 29, 2004 Hi to All.... Just back from the Z (western carib), thought 1st night was more formal, 2nd night had less Tuxes being worn. Saw guys show up with just shirt and tie the first night and second night just the shirt. HAL needs to enforce their rules more :(...Dennis
elmorejj Posted August 29, 2004 #8 Share Posted August 29, 2004 In regards to dress, I think the first is more formal, but on the second, the dining room is definitely more formal, when the chairs all have on their wonderful skirts!!..jean
