Does a child need an ID for Air/Cruise?

Will my 4 yr old be needing an ID for the plane or cruise? please tell me no, b/c I didnt get him one.

Only those 16 and over need a photo ID to cruise/fly

 

All you'll need is a birth certificate or passport

OK, let me clarify, if you are sailing from anywhere is the US, then no, you won't need a photo ID for the 4 year old...just a birth certificate.

 

If you are flying from the US to a port outside the US, then yes you need passports.

I apologize..... I just reread my post and it was incorrect...

 

As of now, passports are not needed for travel via cruiselines.

 

If you have to fly to a port such as Montego Bay than yes, you would need a passport because of the "flying" portion.
