honeymoon06 Posted September 25, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2007 We've booked our cruise and flights separately (flying from the UK). We need to get transfers from Miami airport to a hotel in Fort Lauderdale and then from the cruise port in Fort Lauderdale back to Miami airport. Can anyone recommend any good companies for transfers? And does anyone know the rough cost of this? (2 adults). Thanks for any info.

It cost about 100 USD Then on the return we used the ships bus, whih was about 20 USD pp. That was with HAL.And we booked that whilst on the ship. I have read several times that the taxi fare from the ship to Miami airport runs from $80 and up depending on traffic. We have booked Princess transfers which for Dec 2007 are $15 pp from the ship to Miami airport. Just a thought: it might be more reasonable if you stayed in a Miami hotel and returned to the airport for a Princess transfer to the ship especially if the hotel has a shuttle to and from the airport. Colo Cruiser Posted September 25, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 25, 2007 You might also consider renting a car from Hertz and the like if you feel comfortable driving here in the US. It would be around $50 total for a one way rental, it is 22 miles which is pretty much all interstate highway and about 45 minutes. :) Just a thought. They will pick you up at the airport when you arrive and pick you up at the pier when you return.
honeymoon06 Posted September 25, 2007 Author #5 Share Posted September 25, 2007 Thanks for your replies. Renting a car works out a bit expensive for us because we're just under 25 so we'll be charged for extra insurance (we're from the UK). Where can i book princess transfers? on the website? Thanks. Through Princess if you booked directly, if not through your TA. :)
