leenie29 Posted September 25, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2007 We are taking a private tour in Russia. My husband wants to take the amount we are going to pay the guide in traveler's checks and cash them on the ship for dollars because he doesn't want to travel with that much cash or pay for a cash advance on the credit card. Can we cash traveler's checks for dollars on the ship? Thank you in advance, Eileen

You can check to see if your private guide will accept travelers' cheque. Some of them do and also charge a service fee. Easiest and cheapest way ? Just use a regular ATM card at the ship's casino. Best exchange rate you will ger anywhere and very small fees, if any, depending on your card.
