Things you DON'T do on a cruise

My husband and I never talk about work. It is taboo in a cruise.

Unfortunately I do have to do the work thing or don't cruise Joys of owning your own business.

 

BUT I don't.... Go to the movies

 

Have never had lunch or breakfast in the dining room (think I will try it though)

 

Have never been to the salon or spa.

 

And have never been to the gym Maybe this time....NOT!

We all talk about things we do or plan to do on our next cruise....what are some of the things you don't do??

 

 

For us....

 

Go to the theatre to watch a movie

 

Dine in our cabin...even when we have a balcony

 

Attend the Cruise Director's preferred store sale pitch, often times referred to as an island briefing.

 

Buy Tanzanite

Eat at the buffet if I can help it.:)

We don't play bingo.

We don't use walkie-talkies.

We don't use the elevators.

We don't get up early.

We don't shop.

We don't worry about anything, and I mean ANYTHING.

We don't want to go home.

I was going to say I never eat escargot, but I did once...it was a little appetizer from the chef in the Normandie restaurant. Tasted like a snail.... Oh well, I guess you can eat anything with enough garlic and butter.......

Mine is about the same as every elses.. except I work out (which is why I have the gym to myself.. and usually the dancers :) )

 

I never worry about the future. I am in the moment

 

I never think "I wish I had ordered that instead".. I can have more than one if I want (which is why I need the gym)

 

I never turn down an infrequent, free drink

 

Port Lectures.... I usually plan something other than shopping anyway (I do shop, I just do it BEFORE the cruise)

 

I never play any game that involves humilation and a pool...

 

I never miss a meal... (again the gym)

 

I never forget to thank the Gods of Bonine for making cruising possible for me...

Don't go to Art Auctions

Don't stay up late

Don't eat lunch in the dining room and seldom eat breakfast there

Don't go to shore talks

Don't miss a meal

And never, never get off the ship without wanting to get right back on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We don't worry about anything at home.

By the way, the Dining Room is a GREAT place for breakfast and lunch! Why not enjoy fine dining three times a day?

I don't limit myself to any one particular activity, as each cruise I go on could be my last and I never want to look back and wonder.

don't go to shore excursions lectures

 

don't go to cc club parties anymore

 

don't miss out on any food

Just did first cruise I will say wat we dont do and what we wont do any more...

 

My wife and I DONT go to the port lectures (we know how to shop thankyou very much and I hate seeing the people spend 1/2 their port time rushing through a dozen stores begging for some $10 earrings or some other junk to try and lure you into buy more, or pay to have that free stone set in a non-free setting)

 

My wife and I DONT play bingo

My wife and I DONT stay up late

My wife and I DONT sleep in

My wife and I DONT think about how much we are eating

My wife and I DONT do any of the Trivia/Contest junk

My wife and I DONT book any excursions through the cruise

My wife and I DONT socialize more than necessary (it our only together time! why waste it?)

My Wife and I DONT play the casinos (except to get rid of the leftover quarters at the end of the week)

 

My wife and I WONT eat at the buffet for lunch any more (was never that good)

My wife and I WONT attend the final grand buffet (how ridiculous, and people got stupid pushy and crazy... do you really need to spend 20 seconds video taping every single creation? Do you need 50 pictures? Went this time, and its the last time)

We don’t b*tch about every little inconvenience

We DO thoroughly enjoy ourselves :)
