No escargot or French onion soup

Just looking at the new menus, unless I missed them I didn't see either one:(

If you are looking at the princess menus,yea I noticed that also..Hope I can order them off menu. I like a Cesar salad and Escargots sometimes and nothing more!

Cesar salad is on the menu every night on Carnival Liberty. French onion soup and Escargots were available one night each. Sorry, I don't know about any other cruise lines.

DH had a lovely French Onion Soup and we both had Escargot - terrific.

 

Also - (tenderloin) Steak and Eggs for breakfast.

 

Smoked Salmon omelet.

 

Steak and (2) lobster tails each for room service.

 

Espressos every morning in the room.

 

Super-sized Mimosas pre-breakfast.

 

No "fat pills" aka pastries.

Sounds good to me, my wife and I would prefer a brace of large Bellini's instead of the Mimosa's when we have them in bed pre breakfast we would then skip breakfast and emerge for brunch.

We were on the Valor last week and had French Onion Soup and Escargot. First time for the Escargot and it was great. The fish and chips were also very good.

Chops on RCL still has "Cheese and Onion soup", which is french onion soup, and they will really layer and bake the cheese on! I really only like the flavor the soup give to the cheese.

For your information it the swiss cheese that give the flavor to the soup, your can also add a bit of red wine to the receipe.

 

Last year on the Zenith, we were 6 at our table and two of us order escargot, at first bite, it was cold but I didn't know what to do, until my friend decided it was to much for him and spitted in the napkin.

 

We told the waiter about the problem, with excuses he came back with another plate, this time just the right temperature.

 

And when we got back to our stateroom that night, everybody at our table, had receive a box of belgium chocolate for that mistake.

Just returned yesterday (11-3) off the Golden Princess and Escargot and French Onion Soup were served and on their menus. However, the menus on our cruise were still the old menus. So the Golden has yet to 'roll over' to the new menus.

Since you didn't say which cruiseline, if you're referring to Carnival, yes, escargots and French onion soup are available in the dining room. The Caesar salad is always available any night of the cruise.
