Airline Question

I will be on the Destiny on Halloween and will be dressing as a Pirate.My question is if I pack a plastic sword about Two foot long,and a plastic pirate gun in my checked bags

from ATL. to San Juan does anyone think I will have trouble from the Airlines about this.

As long as it's in your checked luggage you should be fine.

TSA may end up searching your luggage. Once they find out what you actually have, they will inset a note stating they search you luggage, zip it up and put you luggage back on carrousel.

i would almost bet that they open your bag....heck, they opened mine 3 times and the only thing that may have looked funny was a couple little boxes of cereal! lol....

Personally I wouldn't want to waste my time going thru and unpacking my personal belongings to find and explain the "props" to security.

 

If I thought I HAD to carry props like that, as you do, I'd pack a cardboard sword and gun that wouldn't be detected.
