where is the secret balcony with lounges located?
Easiest way is walk to deck 7 aft (on either side), and there is small stairway going up to it.

Since this thread is 67 pages long I am going to write down what I can remember I have read. Please lets copy and paste and add as we go. I know I will forget a lot and forget to include that. Please just copy and paste and then add what is forgotten.

I know they do NOT have an ice cream/yogurt machine

You can buy ice cream at Ben & Jerry's for a fee

You can order ice cream in the diningroom in the evenings and sometimes for lunch.

Serrentos is upstairs in the Windjammer deck 12 in front of Jade Sushi

Jade/Sushi (not to be confused with Jade Sushi Restaruant) is offer in the evening in the Windjammer on deck 11 & deck 12 (according to RCI deck plans)

Jade Sushi is offered by menu with a fee per what you order (same as restaruants) and it is located upstairs in the Windjammer

There is a "secret" aft balcony with about 8-9 lounges
Is there any ice cream available on the Monarch? If so where and what times? :D
Just back from the Monarch. Ice cream was served every day (except the first day) at 3:30pm in the back part of the Windjammer.
Jsme, thanks for putting it all together! :p
I'm trying to figure out where the secret balcony is... Is it between the 7th & 8th decks? Or is it on the 8th deck? Anyone have a pic of the aft of the ship?
It's on Deck 8. If you are on Deck 9 or 10 you can just take the aft stairs down. From Deck 7 you can take the aft stairs up. I don't recall any access from Deck 8 itself, except for 'crew only' doors.

Have you tried pricing out 2 connecting cabins? We got 8532 & 8534 for August & it was less than 300.00 extra. We did the same thing when we sailed Sovereign a couple years ago & was like having a 2 br suite. We had the kids in one room with their own bath & TV & DH & I were next door & we kept the door open in between. It was less than $300 to add the extra cabin.

Check out the roll call board... by my count there are 18, plus you and your travel companion(s).

I've read all 68 pages, obtained a lot of great information. Thanks everyone.
Wow, you are way more ambitious than I! I read the first couple of pages of this thread (and fell in love with Jen and her website-loved the 109 page review of another RC ship!), and I read the last couple of pages (thanks for those who have summarized)... I just hope I'm not missing anything in-between!

Wow, I'm impressed! We're sailing on Monarch in April and I am accumulating my set of questions before I hit the search feature. Hopefully they will be answered somewhere in those 68 pages!
