We will going on a cruise this month and my DW wants to pack an iron. I read or heard that you couldn't take a iron on board due to a potential fire problem. Is this correct or not. Thanks

You read correctly. Irons are not allowed on any Royal Caribbean ship. They are considered a fire hazard. Steamers are allowed. ;)

They will press items for half of what they charge for laundry. They do a great job and it's very reasonable.

 

Before we started cruising, never in a million years would I have thought I'd use an onboard service like that, but we use it all the time now when we sail.
