Does any one know the price of a coke card?

Just dropped NCL for a cruise on Carnival Conquest on the same day. Much closer to my home. NCL wanted to charge about $80 for a 7 day coke card, thats only for one person. Hoping Carnival is more reasonable.

I bought mine at the atrium bar, you can use it whenever you want a cola. After the dining room server saw my card the first night....she was ready with my cola's every night after that. I'm a huge cola drinker so I get my moneys worth from the card..........I believe you can use it to get other juices and things from the bars too.....I never have.

Is the card good for juices, water etc.. or just soft drinks? Also, what do you get to drink in the dining room at dinner if you don't have a card and don't want alcohol? I thought non-alcoholic drinks would at least come with dinner in the dining room.

if you get a soda in the dining room without a card.....you will be billed on your s-n-s card. I believe it covers the juices at the bars but not bottled water.

 

If you buy a soda card....it DOES NOT cover cans from the cabin.

 

The card is not supposed to be shared. And since there could be no control over cans from the cabin they are not covered by the card.

 

Earlier I posted that when you want one you can get one.....I was talking about the bars, lounges, showroom, Casino and dining rooms...........NOT cans from the cabin fridge!!

 

Just wanting to clarify before someone jumps all over me and my mistake.

And in case anyone on a different length cruise is wondering how much the card is, on all ships, it is currently $5.50/per day plus the 15% gratuity.

 

You can also buy a Carnival Cup for $4.95 or $5.95 (I don't remember exact price) to use for your sodas with the soda card. The Carnival Cup is 16oz (I measured after I got home) which is larger than the glasses they use -- the glasses looked about 12 oz but I couldn't bring one home to measure for sure.:D

Does anyone know if waiting until you get into international waters makes a difference?? Our friends bought 2 soda cards (first thing while at port) and were told later if they would have waited 2-3 hours it would have saved them approx. $10 (total)...Dont know if it is the tax issue or what....

I have heard that if you purchase before they are a certain distance out, tax is added to the purchase however it's no where near $10, more like a couple dollars per card. And if you want to wait for your soda, okay, but I bought one right away because I wanted a soda right away. I'll look to see if I can find receipts -- we bought Mom's card later. I don't remember if there was a cost difference.

I cand wait........not a big drinker..........for me, getting my soda card in hand is like getting docs in the mail at home. But I've heard that if you wait, it's a bit cheaper.

They would have saved tax on both cards, don't know which port... but it could be close to $10 for 2 cards... Also, if you wait til the next day it is less as the card is prorated.
