Rare teacherman Posted October 7, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2007 We will be in St Thomas in December. Have been looking at day sails and are interested in the True Love (St Thomas Excursions). Any of you done this recently? Is it much problem to "clear customs" on the boat and then get a cab to the pick-up point? Any info is welcome. Thank you. royaloakie Posted October 7, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 7, 2007 Just as a piece of information, be aware that St. Thomas is on Atlantic time and many of the ships stay on EST time-therefore an 8AM docking is 9AM Island time. We tried to do a day sail, but the sailings were all around 9 to 9:15 Atlantic time and the timing was impossible. Maybe if you charter the entire sailing it would work and they would wait for you. It is a long drive to Red Hook. We have decided to do a half day sail in the afternoon. Hope a sailing works for you. I e-mailed Royal Caribbean and they said most of the ships stay on Ships Time. Which is the time of the home port.
