cruise price going up

I booked and paid for my cruise already.

i told a few friends and they went to check

into it and the price went up 30.00

why would prices go up 6 weeks before a cruise

does that mean the ship is pretty full?

Prices are all based on supply and demand.

I am booked on a cruise in January, the price started out at $229, 2 weeks later it was $335, now i just called and the price has gone up to $399, it may drop when final payment is due, do to people canceling to get their full deposit back, but as it looks now....This will be a full sailing.

There is a group booked on the ship so this could have a factor, I am sailing with the group but chose to book myself because the price the TA wanted for the group was WAY to much money, i can still hang out with them, just can't ride the party bus with them....oh well, that was $99 and it will also cost me less to drive to the port myself.
