mytime53 Posted October 9, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2007 Tickets can be bought at the arena. Many people find it gory. We actually saw a fighter get "slightly" gored. There are 3 fights, so it is long. If you have doubts about seeing the entire 3 fights, skip the early part as the best one should be last (I assume it's okay to go late, but I don't know that for sure). Most importantly, read up about the customs and traditions of it before going. An understanding of what is going on will increase your appreciation (not exactly the word I'm looking for, but you get the idea).
Dachsie5 Posted October 9, 2007 #3 Share Posted October 9, 2007 Hi We have been to a Bull Fight before, never again. It is very Gory! It is one of those things that I never have to do again in my life. Hot sitting all day in the sun too, so, if you go, be prepared.
mousey Posted October 10, 2007 #4 Share Posted October 10, 2007 I had always wanted to see a real live bullfight having watched many old movies that romantasize them. However, the reality is quite different. It was very, very sad to see an animal treated that way!:( If the matador is not good at what he/she does it is a horrible thing to see, and the animal suffers greatly. I actually turned backwards on the bench so I didn't have to watch anymore. I would never, ever consider going again, and I would never, ever, consider taking a child there. I'll never forget how horrible and how sad I felt that day!:( This is just my experience, the DH didn't think it was that bad when the good matadors worked with the bulls, but he agreed that it was inhumane the way the animal suffered when the not-so-good matador went after the bull. You may have a different experience.
