Transatlantic question about arriving in Miami

I read on a thread somewhere, that a ship who have been at sea for many days... when arriving to port...It takes a LONG time before the ship lets passengers depart from the ship. I was wanting to take a morning flight out of Miami.

 

Ship arrives in Miami at 6am. I was hoping to get off the ship no later than 8:30am....Is this possible?

Who knows! It is up to the Immigration & Customs Officers and nobody else! Always depends when they clear the ship! Nobody should book the flights before noon anyhow!
