boten Posted October 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2007 BudgetQueen - you always say you prefer the longer, Northwestern Fjord cruise to the shorter National Park cruise. We have done the 6 hours cruise in July 2004 and it was wonderful. We've seen eagles, seals, otters, puffins, orcas (3 of them sailed right at the boat and dived under us), bears and many other birds. We also witnessed some great calvings at the Holgate glacier. What is the TRUE difference between this route and the longer Northwestern cruise? I've looked at the route maps for all 3 cruises (including the shortest Resurrection Bay cruise) and I can see the longer one goes farther out but in what way our experience will be enhanced if we take the long one? Budget Queen Posted October 13, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2007 More time for scenery and wildlife. Purely longer is my priority, Kenai Fjords tours also runs their fastest and nicest boats on this route. It's always my preference, certainly not everyone's. A big recommendation I would have for other's going on this would be a coupon offer if available next year? Otherwise, go with what you wish for time. Every trip is different and unique.
