New Years Eve on Disney

Yes we did it

 

Yes they do it - big parties all aver the ship - free champ' @ midnight. Our year they set up the main atr' like Times Square and had video feeds from other party areas like the main deck.

 

A big deal ... the kids loved it ... we were on a 7 day that boarded the day after Christmas

that sounds too cool!!!! and the day after christmas is a good idea.......no christmas is over blues.....lol

We also did New Year's Eve; I think it was '05 Eastern. Lots of parties, music, etc. They serve you champagne/ or sparkling apple cider in commemorative champagne glasses which came in various colors; nice to keep as a souvenir. They still had all the Christmas decorations up as well.

 

The only thing that detracted from our cruise is that the seas were rough and a lot of seasicknesses on excursions, etc. Nobody wanted to swim at castaway cay because it was too cold. The captain told us the winter rough seas were pretty typical. We hated to spend so much money for a holiday cruise and then have very rough seas where excursions had to be cancelled and where the weather was so cold. St. Thomas and St. Martin were warmer, however.

Good gosh, mom of six kids! how in the world do you have anytime for anything else???
