drm31078 Posted October 16, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2007 Are there lounge chairs on both the Forward and Aft Viewing decks on the Coral-Caribe Deck. Any suggestions which would be a better viewing area for an Alaska cruise? I am trying to choose my room location and my options are all the way forward or all the way aft. Colo Cruiser Posted October 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2007 Baja/Caribe have loungers on the aft decks. Aft Dolphin is a standing area only. No chairs at all in the front viewing areas.
GloriaF Posted October 16, 2007 #3 Share Posted October 16, 2007 You most likely will find you are all over the ship to catch views in Alaska, not just staying close to your cabin. There are lots of options, and on one of the viewing days the ship serves traditional Alaskan cuisine on the pool deck. I recall reindeer chili and another specialty you'll want to have a taste of at least. Also the Horizon Court buffet is all the way forward on the Coral and a good place to watch the scenery with a cup of something warm if the weather is cold or wet. There are tables there, but usually lots of people gather there and share tables and chairs because the views are so wonderful, especially when the naturist is pointing things out - the buffet looks out just as the bridge does where the naturist is.
