Shore excursions Mobile AL

Does anyone know why Carnival doesn't offer any shore excursions for Mobile AL? We have only cruised out of FL before and there is always excursions listed. Is there really nothing to do in Mobile? The only answer I have gotten on these boards is to see the USS Alabama (I have seen the USS Constitution is there a big difference?). Is that really all there is to do?

The USS Alabama is an old Battle Ship. The park has a Submarine and many old airplanes. Bellingrath Gardens is a beautiful place to visit. Visit their website for the activities. They change by the time of the year. Fort Conde is a Civil War Fort that is interesting. There is a Mardi Gras museum in downtown Mobile also. The Explorium is an interactive Musuem that has different exhibits from time to time. We also have EXCELLENT seafood if you are interested in that. There are several great restaurants within 15 minutes of the terminal. Gulf Shores is about an hour away to the southeast. The beaches are absolutely beautiful. Biloxi is about an hour to the west which has numerous Casinos. There are numerous festivals and activities throughout the year. It just depends on the time of the year. I never heard of Bellingrath and did check it out. It looks like a beautiful place. I am also reconsidering the USS Alabama. I know my husband and son will probably love it and my daughter and I will go with a positive attitude and hopefully be pleasantly surprised. :rolleyes: Thanks for all the info. and keep it coming if you think of more things.

There is an Outdoor mall in Malbis (Eastern Shore Center) that your daughter would love. You could drop your husband and son at the battleship and go shopping. If you need anything else. Let me know.
