Port of Miami

We had an early flight into MIA one morning, and were at the pier around 10 AM... lots of people leaving, but we were able to find a place to drop off the bags and the check in line was open. They did not open security that early, so we waited in line for securlty to open, and then into a big room where we waited another 45 minutes, and into yet another waiting area for a shorter time, until we began boarding around 11 AM.

All in all, it was not too bad, but you don't get on the ship much faster by getting there a lot earlier than 11 AM.

We just went on the Valor 10/7/07 & we got to the terminal right around 11am -- got our luggage checked in at the curb, went into the new terminal, filled out the Bahamas Immigration papers & went right up to the check in desk, headed up the escalator to our first ship portrait session, & were on the ship & up eating lunch by 11:45!! There were 16 of us with 7 children, so that went pretty smoothly! So make sure you are there by 11am if not a few minutes before & you should be able to check right thru!!! Have a wonderful cruise!!! :D
