NCL Sea - 8/25 - Any Others???

I will be going on the NCL Sea out of Houston 8/25, just trying to see if anyone else is going along. I tried scanning the posts, but gave up. 3,000+ was too many to read in one sitting. :)

 

I will be taking my parents for their Xmas present. They are in their early 70's but still fairly fit. If anyone has taken this cruise recently, what are some low-stress shore excursions they might like?

 

I was thinking about Tulum from Cozumel and possibly the rain forest excursion in Belize, any others?

 

Any reviews would be good also.

Have you checked the roll call boards to see if there is one for this sailing? If not, you might start one. Just out of curiosity, what year? I'm assuming you don't mean 8/25/04 since it's already past.

 

We did the Tulum excursion last January, booked through NCL, and thought it was great. Our tour guide was excellent and gave us a lot of good information about the Mayan culture in general, and specifically Tulum. The only thing we didn't care for was the box lunch that was furnished -- a piece of fish on a sort of hoagie roll, some type of pickled vegetables, a plastic container of fruit -- yuck.

 

We also went to Altun Ha in Belize -- very different kind of ruins, but just as enjoyable.

Thanks for the info. Normally when I cruise I try to scuba dive as much as possible, but I don't want to just ditch my parents, so I am trying to find things we can do together.

There is a tour of the island in Roatan that they might like. You visit the airport, and iguana farm and I think a beach, and also stop someplace to shop. I think they might like that.
