cherylw2001 Posted September 2, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2004 Hi!! We will be sailing out of Galveston on the Ecstasy in December. I'm hoping someone can help answer a few questions I have. Are there stairs you have to use to board the ship? The reason I'm asking my parents are going and they have difficulty with stairs. Also we have the 8:00 dinner reservations which dining room will we be in? Thanks Cheryl
springtxbill Posted September 2, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 2, 2004 I am not totally familiar ith the terminal Carnival uses, but I am sure they have an elevator or ramp. They have to to comply with the ADA laws.:)
robtx100 Posted September 2, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 2, 2004 there is an elevator that takes you up to the second level where you will most likely have a line to go thru security (there are chairs they can sit in until you get to metal detector). Then the line wavers up to the check in (no chairs here, unfortunately). after check in you just go down a hall to the ramp (slopes slightly downward but not bad) and then you are on board. not bad at all. I've often seen them take people with mobility problems ahead of the line. Have fun! We're booked on Ecstacy for Jan 29th
