Starting Nov. 1 2007 the main street will be closed to cars

Starting Nov. 1 the main street will be closed to cars to allow cruise passengers to wander freely. Just like Bourbon Street at night.

That really stinks. I feel bad for the locals and (non cruise ship) visitors.

 

The whole of main street is only a couple of blocks. You can walk the whole thing in five minutes while stopping to window shop.

 

The main drag, however, does go through there. I guess everyone is going to have to veer off into residential neighborhoods to get around. :mad:

 

I love to cruise but I hope cruise ships stop going to Bonaire.
