Gem Review 21-28 October 2007

For those who are interested, the following website has a few hundred photos of the Norwegian Gem. Not to my taste and if I didn't know better I would suspect that Joe Farcus is moonlighting as the decorator for NCL.:D I recently toured the Norwegian Spirit and thought its furnishings and decoration were far more tasteful and subdued.

What is with those fuzzy and furry chairs and the lime green and lemon yellow upholstery, etc? Those green carpet like rolls in the Atrium are, I guess some sort of chairs? Check out the photos and judge for yourself:

The fuzzy green carpet roll type things are actually foot rests, and are surprisingly practical. We watched one of the movies on the big screen in the Atrium and got really comfy on the chairs using the footrests, so they do server a purpose.

 

But like I said in the review, the decor will not be to everyone's taste. Personally I loved it :D
