Basically, you only have to make resverations for the Specialty restaurants. You can only make them a day in advance. As an example, on Monday morning you can make reservations for Monday and Tuesday nights.

Note not all the Specialty restaurants will have a surcharge, there will be some that are free. The Asian, French, and Cagney's Steakhouse restaurants will have a surcharge. Blue Lagoon, the Italian, the Buffet, and the two Main restaurants will be free.

 

Don't forget the Latin/Tapas selections (Tequila's and the Tapas Bar) as they are also free as are all the outdoor eating venues (open when weather permits). Of the outdoor venues, the Grill and the Great Outdoors are usually open for Breakfast from 8-11 and for the afternoon from 12-6, although sometimes only 3-6. The Bali Hai generally has more restricted hours as it is more of a Bar; however, it does have food. You just have to check the back page of your Freestyle Daily in the Freestyle Dining section for the hours of each place on a given day. The Tapas Bar won't be listed as a dining venue as the idea there is for you to buy drinks and the food to simply be an little addition (Tapas means "little bites"). However, on a day where DH and I had a huge lunch in port, we went to the Tapas Bar (it is in-between Blue Lagoon and Tequilas) and had a couple of beers and several of the Tapas and called it dinner.
