I'm not Snoopy, but have this current statement from an island resident:

Hurricane Frances did us nothing.

At my house just outside Philipsburg, there was hardly any rain and even less wind

I see swells in Philipsburg harbor.

I spoke to a friend in Simpson Bay who said around 5:30 AM they

were awakened by howling wind and heavy rain. it lasted maybe 35 minutes she said.

Now just cloudy skies, slightly breezy, maybe some on and off rain showers.

I'm trying to call my staff so we can open for business.

I don't know about the seas. I assume there are heavy Northern swells. I also assume Marigot and grand case might have gotten more wind and rain

but, in general, Frances was a bust, thank God

I've seen worse weather from just a regular old front moving through.

No need to be concerned, though that's nice of you to think of us. Nothing happened here at all from Francis neither from Ivan which is passing wayyyy to the south of us right about now. We're fine. Except they cancelled all the ships this weak due to rough seas. We'll be fine though, once the ships start coming again.

By the way, cynangie, I noticed that you are sailing on Radiance next year. I have heard only wonderful things about that ship. My sisters friend just sailed on that ship in July to Alaska and I heard it was amazing. Where are you sailing to (if you don't mind my asking)? I bet it will be great. We also had a great cruise to Alaska on the NCL Spirit. Loved it.

We are sailing eastern carib and one of our ports is....St Martin :D. I have been reading your helpful information with great anticipation, and plan on stopping by your fathers shop.
